The Power Of Awareness: In South Africa, Eight Women Are Free From Sex Trafficking, Six Traffickers Arrested

Recently, one of our Local Partners in South Africa ran an awareness campaign with a local church highlighting how to spot the signs of trafficking and how to take action.

This strategic campaign resulted in several reports being made, the subsequent arrest of six traffickers, and the rescue of eight trafficking victims.

The South African Department of Social Development has taken these women into care and will be placing them in several shelters across South Africa.

Awareness is one of our eleven proven strategies to end human trafficking in our lifetime. Learn more about our holistic solution by heading to Our Work.
